Hey guys,
Just an update from Harrisburg. Despite the traffic, we made it here alive and in decent time. We were teased by a billboard promising Sonic that ended up being a dirty lie, but we made the best of it. The first night was great. We saw an awesome Improv group called Don’t Break the Streak, who are hosting the festival. We hung out with them a bit after the show as well. They’re not only hilarious comedians, but all around great human beings, for helping us out with what occurred later…
Onto today. This morning we hosted a workshop about getting paid gigs. Steve pulled his experience from working with Rowan University’s student activities to explain what campus boards are looking for in a comedic performer. We had a great reaction from the other groups who attended, and we may actually work with them in the future to form an improv comedy circuit. They were really excited to hear our ideas, and we got awesome feedback as well. Being here with other groups and bouncing ideas off of each other has really been a great experience for us. We’ve had some really great brainstorming sessions within ourselves as well as with other groups.
Our performance today went well, even though we didn’t advance. The audience wasn’t what we’re used to, but we had a great time regardless. Well, until the very end of the very last scene. There was an incident in which Pete ended up exerting himself just a bit too much–and ended up tearing his ACL in his knee. But don’t worry, he’s on crunches and doing just fine…

There he is, hanging out on the bed with his new little friend…

Close up on his buddy. Aww he’s on crutches just like his daddy!
Alright we’re off to mingle some more and enjoy the rest of our weekend. We’re rooting for our new friends Face Off in the finals. They are absolutely hysterical, and also paid tribute to Pete with a special improv’d song about on stage injuries! Special thanks to Don’t Beat the Streak for all their help and concern, and ShawnMikael(s) for the band-aid tribute. All around awesome people, and awesome comedy! Until next time-
The Second Place Champions!
